What kind of President do YOU want?

I usually stay away from politics because it’s a goat rodeo of polarizing issues that no one in the foreseeable future will ever compromise on.

You might as well try to convince a Raiders fan to root for the Chargers.
It’s just not gonna happen.

However, with the release of Mitt Romney‘s tax return and the hubbub perpetuated by talking heads reading from teleprompters I’d like to offer this thought.

I’d rather have a rich President than a poor one.

Think about it.

Do you want someone in the White House running America who can’t handle his own personal finances wisely? Or someone business savvy and fiscally responsible who’s individually wealthy and can apply the same principles to our sensitive economy?

I don’t know if I’ll vote for Mitt Romney and I’m not sure if I agree with his stance on every issue, but I do know I’d rather have a filthy rich President than one with empty pockets and money troubles.

What are you looking for in the next President of the United States?

  1. The biggest thing I’m looking for in this upcoming election is a person who is fiscally responsible and will get a realistic plan in motion to cut spending and get us on a path out of debt. We may THINK we are the land of the free, but if all our debtors called in our payments at once, the US would cease to exist. We aren’t free. Other countries own us.

Then of course a sense of honesty and integrity and keeping their word.

  2. Good post.

But what really turned my head was the phrase “goat rodeo.” I had never heard that phrase before.

But now in the span of two days I’ve heard it twice. In your blog and at Yo Yo Ma’s website (he’s featured in “The Goat Rodeo Sessions” that will be in theaters one night only on January 31 – http://youtu.be/Svcco48zaTY

    Weird.
